Academia: The Sacred Pursuit of Knowledge

The inaugural Oxford Muslim Student Research Conference 2019 (OMSRC 2019) will be taking place on Saturday the 19th of January 2019 at Worcester College.

The conference aims to attract all students and academics from around the University. Keynote talks from high profile academics will be delivered and dedicated workshops to help boost your skills in research and academia will be held by experienced researchers. In addition, a number of research presentation across disciplines will be given by some of our graduate researchers as well as a poster exhibition.

KEYNOTE SPEAKER

We are pleased to announce that Shaykh Abdal Hakim Murad will be our keynote speaker for this years conference. He is the Dean and Aziz Foundation Professor at Cambridge Muslim College as well as the Shaykh Zayed Lecturer in Islamic Studies at Cambridge University.

POSTER EXHIBITION

While the deadline for submitting an abstract for an oral presentation is now over, the opportunity to present a poster at the conference is still open. If you would like to present a poster about your research (open to both Sciences and Humanities), please email hannah.rana@magd.ox.ac.uk

The conference cost of £5 includes a halal lunch and refreshments throughout the day.
